Zhuge Liang's Northern Expeditions

Zhuge Liang's Northern Expeditions, a series of five military campaigns launched by the state of Shu against the northern state of Wei from 228 to 234, are led by the famed statesman and commander Zhuge Liang.

Although they prove unsuccessful and indecisive, the expeditions are to become some of the most famous conflicts of the Three Kingdoms period.

In popular history, they overlap with the "six campaigns from Mount Qi" which is inaccurate, since Zhuge Liang had only launched his campaigns from Mount Qi twice.
