Suez Crisis, or Sinai War
Years: 1956 - 1956
The Suez Crisis or Sinai War, also referred to as the Tripartite Aggression, is a military attack on Egypt by Britain, France, and Israel beginning on October 29, 1956.
The attack follows Egypt's decision of July 26, 1956 to nationalize the Suez Canal after the withdrawal of an offer by Britain and the United States to fund the building of the Aswan Dam.
