The Parthian war of Caracalla is fought between the Roman and Parthian Empires under Caracalla and Artabanus IV of Parthia respectively.

According to Herodian, in 216 CE, Caracalla tricked the Parthians into believing that he accepted a marriage proposal and slaughtered the wedding guests after the wedding celebrations.
