Narbonne, Battle of
Years: 436 - 437
The Siege of Narbonne is a conflict between the Visigothic Foederati of Aquitania and the Western Roman Empire.
The Siege begins in late 436 and carries over into 437, when the Roman General Litorius arrives with a force of Huns and the Gallic Field Army Litorius surprises the Visigoths and routstheir army before they can draw up a coherent battle line.
Prosper of Aquitaine records that to alleviate the starvation of the city, Litorius' army is ordered to carry two measures of wheat for the citizens of Narbona.
