Namibian War of Independence

The Namibian War of Independence, which lasts from 1966 to 1988, is a guerrilla war, which the Marxist South-West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) and others fight against South Africa; South Africa has administered what is at this time known as South West Africa since it had been allowed to do so by the League of Nations in 1947.
