Macedonian War, Fourth
Years: 151BCE - 146BCE
For several years, Greece has been peaceful until a popular uprising in Macedon rises up under Andriscus, who claims to be a son of Perseus.
Rome once again dispatches its legions into Greece, and thoroughly puts down the Macedonian rebellion.
This time, Rome does not withdraw from the region, forming the Roman province of Macedonia, establishing a permanent Roman foothold on the Greek peninsula.
