Feminism, Second Wave

Years: 1964 - 1971

Second-wave feminism refers to a period of feminist activity which begins during the 1960s and lasts into the 1970s.

Where first-wave feminism had focused on overturning legal (de jure) obstacles to equality, second-wave feminism addresses unofficial (de facto) inequalities as well.

"If you would understand anything, observe its beginning and its development."
