Comanche Campaign

Years: 1867 - 1875

The Comanche Campaign is a general term for a series of military operations that takes place between 1867 and 1875 involving U.S. Army units and the Comanche tribe of Native Americans.

The Red River War of 1874 can be considered part of the Comanche War, but is a large enough campaign that it is usually listed separately.

“What experience and history teach is that nations and governments have never learned anything from history."

―Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Lectures (1803)
