The East Romans, or Byzantines, war with with the Ottoman Turks from 1302 to 1326.
After a defeat in the Battle of Bapheus, the imperial government hires the Catalan Company.
Following a series of victories against the Turks, the Catalans turn against Constantinople following the murder of their leader.
