In 1885, Geronimo and his followers break away again and return to plundering, but constant harassment by US forces lead to their surrender a year later.

Geronimo and other Apache are sent to a federal prison in Florida.

Later Geronimo is allowed to return to the West, where he will live out his life near Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
