Anglo-Scottish Wars
Years: 1372 - 1603
The Anglo-Scottish Wars are a series of wars fought between the Kingdom of England and the Kingdom of Scotland following the Wars of Scottish Independence in the fourteenth century, and ended by the Union of the Crowns in 1603, wherein England and Scotland enter a personal union. After the Wars of Scottish Independence, England and Scotland fight several times during the fourteenth, fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
In most cases, one country attempts to take advantage of weakness or instability in the other.
For example, James II of Scotland attempts to regain Berwick during the Wars of the Roses in England.
