Anglo-Dutch War, Second

The Second Anglo-Dutch War is fought between England and the United Provinces from March 4, 1665 until July 31, 1667.

England tries to end the Dutch domination of world trade.

After initial English successes, the war ends in a Dutch victory.

English and French resentment, however, will soon lead to renewed warfare.
