Abenaki War, First
Years: 1675 - 1678
The Second War of Puritan Conquest or King Philip's War (after the native leader of the aboriginal forces) rapidly spills into Abenaki territory with a bloody attack by English colonists on a native fishing camp on the Connecticut River.
Abenaki fighters, allied to France, strike at the new English settlements along the Connecticut River, driving out the colonists.
