Wilhelm Hisinger

Swedish physicist and chemist
Years: 1766 - 1852

Wilhelm Hisinger (December 23, 1766 – June 28, 1852) is a Swedish physicist and chemist who in 1807, working in coordination with Jöns Jakob Berzelius, notes that in electrolysis any given substance always go to the same pole, and that substances attracted to the same pole have other properties in common.

This shows that there is at least a qualitative correlation between the chemical and electrical natures of bodies.
