Valentín Gómez Farías (February 14, 1781 – July 5, 1858) is the President of Mexico for five short periods in the 1830s and 1840s.

During his term in 1833, he enacts significant liberal reforms that are aimed at undermining the power of the Roman Catholic Church and the army in Mexico.
