Đurađ Branković (1377 – December 24, 1456), also known under the patronymic (Đurađ) Vuković and frequently called George Branković in English-language sources, is a Serbian despot from 1427 to 1456 and a baron of the Kingdom of Hungary He collects a large library of Serbian, Slavonic, Latin, and Greek manuscripts and makes his capital Smederevo a centrer of Serbian culture.
He is the first of the Branković dynasty to hold the Serbian monarchy.
