Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz (November 2, 682 – 31 January 720) is an Umayyad caliph who rules from 717 to 720.

He is also a cousin of the former caliph, being the son of Abd al-Malik's younger brother, Abd al-Aziz.

He is also a great-grandson of the Great Caliph and companion of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad, Umar ibn Al-Khattab.
