Trần Minh Tông (September 4, 1300 – March 10, 1357), given name Trần Mạnh, is the fifth emperor of the Trần dynasty who rules Đại Việt from 1314 to 1329.

After ceding the throne to his son Trần Hiến Tông, Minh Tông holds the title of Retired Emperor (Vietnamese: Thái thượng hoàng) for twenty-nine years.

As the last emperor in the prosperous period of the Trần dynasty, Minh Tông is known for his successful reign of Đại Việt with the assistance of many talented mandarins.

Minh Tông is also the longest-reigning retired emperor in history of Vietnam when he acta as a regent and co-rulea with Hiến Tông and Dụ Tông.

His death marks a significant turning point in the history of the Trần Dynasty, as the country begins to decline and soon falls into troubled times.
