Satyrus

ruler of the Bosporan Kingdom
Years: 455BCE - 387BCE

Satyrus (died 387 BCE) also known as Satyros, is the Spartocid ruler of the Bosporan Kingdom in 431 - 387 BCE.

During his rule, he builds upon the expansive foreign policy of his father Spartokos I.

He conquers Nymphaion, becomes involved in the political developments of the neighboring Sindike kingdom and lays siege to the city of Theodosia, which is a serious commercial rival because of its ice-free port and proximity to the grain fields of eastern Crimea.
