Nicocles
king of Salamis
Years: 405BCE - 360BCE
Nicocles is an Ancient Greek Cypriot king of Salamis, Cyprus.
He becomes in 374/3 BCE successor of his (thought) father Evagoras I. Nicocles continues the philhellenic politics of his father.
Nicocles dies probably together with Straton of Sidon during the revolt of satraps (362 to 360 v.
Chr.).
He is followed as the king by his son Evagoras II.
