Muhammad Shah (1702 – 1748) also known as Roshan Akhtar, is the 14th Mughal emperor between 1719 and 1748.

He is the son of Khujista Akhtar Jahan Shah, the fourth son of Bahadur Shah I. Ascending the throne at 17 with the help of the Sayyid Brothers, he later getsrid of them with the help of Nizam-ul-Mulk Chin Qilich Khan.

Historians nicknamed him Rangeela, meaning "joy-maker".
