Louis Philippe I (6 October 1773 – 26 August 1850) is King of the French from 1830 to 1848 in what is known as the July Monarchy.

His father is a duke who supports the French Revolution but is nevertheless guillotined.

He is proclaimed king in 1830 after King Charles X is forced to abdicate.

Louis Philippe himself is forced to abdicate in 1848 and lives out his life in exile in England.
