Years: 175 - 234

Li Yan (later changed to Li Ping, died 234), style name Zhengfang, is a political figure and general of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history.

Li Yan climbs to the zenith of his career when he is asked by Shu emperor Liu Bei to be the paramount general and co-regent along with Zhuge Liang for his son and successor, Liu Shan.

However, during Zhuge Liang's Northern Expeditions, Li Yan is assigned to handle logistics, and he is unable to follow Zhuge's instructions to deliver supplies in a timely manner.

After his attempt to fraudulently cover his inability to follow commands, Li Yan is stripped of his positions and powers.
