Lala Şahin Pasha

Lala Şahin Pasha (Turkish: Lala Şahin Paşa; 1330 – after 1388) is the first Beylerbey of Rumelia.
He is the teacher (lala) of Sultan Murad I, and when Murad succeeds the throne, Şahin leads the Ottoman campaign of Thrace.
In 1360, he takes Didymoticho, and in 1362, Adrianople, which afterwards serves as the Ottoman royal seat as Edirne.
In 1364, he takes Boruj and Plovdiv.
He is one of commanders in the Battle of Maritsa (1371).
[ As of 1382, he rules in Sofia.
He is decisively defeated by Prince Lazar of Serbia at the Battle of Pločnik (1385–86), and is badly defeated by the Bosnians in the Battle of Bileća on August 27, 1388.
