Lajos Batthyány

Count Lajos Batthyány de Németújvár (1807–1849) was the first Prime Minister of Hungary.
He was born in Pressburg (modern Bratislava, also known to Hungarians as Pozsony) on 10 February 1807, and is executed by firing squad in Pest on 6 October 1849, the same day as the 13 Martyrs of Arad.
