Ladislaus Kán
de facto independent ruler of Transylvania
Years: 1265 - 1315
Ladislaus (III) Kán (?
– before 15 May 1315) (Hungarian: Kán (III) László, Romanian: Ladislau Kán al III-lea), is a Hungarian oligarch in the Kingdom of Hungary who rules de facto independently Transylvania.
He holds the office of Voivode of Transylvania (erdélyi vajda) (1297-1314).
Taking advantage of the internal discords within the kingdom, he maintains his rule over Transylvania until his death even by struggling against the several claimants for the throne.
