Kilij Arslan I
Seljuq Sultan of Rûm
Years: 1060 - 1107
Kilij Arslan is the Seljuq Sultan of Rûm from 1092 until his death in 1107.
He rules the Sultanate during the time of the First Crusade and thus faces the brunt of the entire attack.
He also re-establishes the Sultanate of Rum after the death of Malik Shah I of Great Seljuq and soundly defeats the Crusaders in three separate battles during the Crusade of 1101, which had arisen as a well-managed response to the First Crusade.
