Crown Prince of Burma
Years: 1820 - 1866

Kanaung Mintha (31 January 1820 – 2 August 1866) is a son of King Tharrawaddy and younger brother of King Mindon of Burma.

Towards the end of the Second Anglo-Burmese War, Kanaung and Mindon overthrow their half brother Pagan (1848–1853) and enthrone the latter.

Subsequently, Kanaung becomes the Heir Apparent on July 11, 1853.

He i`s the fiery "War Prince" and the peoples' idol.

Kanaung attempts to modernize the country by sending scholars to Western countries and by founding an arms industry.

However, his efforts are cut short when he is killed by his two nephews.
