Hakor

Pharaoh of Egypt
Years: 435BCE - 380BCE

Hakor, or Akoris, is the Pharaoh of Egypt from 393 BCE to 380 BCE.

Hakor, in overthrowing his predecessor Psammuthes, falsely proclaims himself to be the grandson of Nepherites I, founder of the 29th Dynasty, on his monuments in order to legitimize his kingship.

While Hakor rules Egypt for only 13 years, his reign is important for the enormous number of buildings which he constructs and for his extensive restoration work on the monuments of his royal predecessors.
