Eric V "Klipping" (1249 – November 22, 1286) is King of Denmark (1259–1286) and son of Christopher I.
Until 1264, he rules under the auspices of his mother, the competent Queen Dowager Margaret Sambiria.
Between 1261 and 1262, Eric is a prisoner in Holstein following a military defeat.
Afterwards, he is brought up in Brandenburg.
