Elizabeth of Hungary, T.O.S.F., (German: Heilige Elisabeth von Thüringen, Hungarian: Árpád-házi Szent Erzsébet, 7 July 1207 – 17 November 1231) is a princess of the Kingdom of Hungary, Countess of Thuringia, Germany and a greatly venerated Catholic saint.
Elizabeth is married at the age of 14, and widowed at 20.
She then becomes one of the first members of the newly founded Third Order of St. Francis, relinquishes her wealth to the poor, and builds hospitals, where she herself serves the sick.
She becomes a symbol of Christian charity after her death at the age of 24.
