Yusuf Dhu Nuwas (also Yusuf As'ar Yath'ar or Dunaan) is a Jewish warlord in Yemen between 517 to 525-27, and the only Himyarite ruler whose conversion to Judaism is verified; although his forbears had been monotheistic (following Rahmanism) since the fourth century.
