David Stewart
Earl of Strathearn

David Stewart (1357 – c. 1386), Prince of Scotland, is a fourteenth-century Scottish magnate.
He is the eldest son of the second marriage of King Robert II of Scotland with Euphemia de Ross.
King Robert, on March 26, 1371, the day of his coronation, is styled Earl of Strathearn, and on the following day his son David does homage to him under the title of Earl of Strathearn.
On June 19 of the same year, he obtains a charter of the barony of Urquhart.
He receives the Castle of Braal in Caithness on March 21, 1375, and is also given the title Earl of Caithness between that date and December 28, 1377, when he is styled "Earl Palatine of Strathearn and Caithness".
