Bagoas (died 336 BCE) is a eunuch who becomes the vizier (Chief Minister) to Artaxerxes III.

In this role, he allies himself with the Rhodian mercenary general Mentor, and with his help succeed sin once again making Egypt a province of the Persian Empire (probably from 342 BCE).

Mentor becomes general of the maritime provinces, suppresses the rebels in Egypt and sends Greek mercenaries to the king, while Bagoas administers the satrapies and gains such power that he is the real master of the Persian Empire towards the end of Artaxerxes III's reign (Diod.
