Athanagild (died 567) is a Visigothic King of Hispania and Septimania.
He had rebelled against his predecessor, Agila, in 551.
The armies of Agila and Athanagild meet at Seville, where Agila meets a second defeat.
With the death of Agila in 554, he becomes sole ruler until his death.
