Antipater II of Macedon is the son of Cassander and Thessalonike of Macedon, who was a half-sister of Alexander the Great.

He is king of Macedon from 297 BCE until 294 BCE, jointly with his brother Alexander V. Eventually, he murders his mother and ousts his brother from the throne.

Alexander turns to Pyrrhus and Demetrius I Poliorcetes for help, and Demetrius I overthrows Antipater and then has Alexander murdered.

Antipater is killed by Lysimachus, after he flees from Demetrius I to Thrace.

His wife is Eurydice, his paternal cousin, who is a daughter of Lysimachus.
