Alexandre de Rhodes, S.J. (March 15, 1591 – November 5, 1660) is a French Jesuit missionary and lexicographer who has a lasting impact on Christianity in Vietnam.
He writes the Dictionarium Annamiticum Lusitanum et Latinum, the first trilingual Vietnamese-Portuguese-Latin dictionary, published in Rome, in 1651
