Al-Mu'tadid
Abbasid Caliph
Years: 857 - 902
Al-Mu'tadid (857 – 5 April 902) is the Abbasid Caliph in Baghdad from 892 to 902.
As the son and heir of the powerful vizier and virtual regent Al-Muwaffaq (d. 891), Mu'tadid is already in possession of supreme power even before he is appointed Caliph, and continues as Caliph to ably administer the Government.
Egypt returns to his allegiance.
