Thesprotians (Epirote tribe)
Years: 1197BCE - 168BCE
The Thesprotians are an ancient Greek tribe of Thesprotis, in southern Epirus, akin to the Molossians.
The poet Homer frequently mentions Thesprotia, which has friendly relations with Ithaca and Doulichi.
On their northeast frontier they have the Chaonians and to the north the kingdom of the Molossians.
The Thesprotians are part of the League of Epirus until they were annexed into the Roman Empire.
