Rohilla (Pashtun tribe)
Years: 1600 - 2057
The Rohilla are a community of Urdu-speaking Pashtun Afghans also known as Pathan, historically found in the state of Uttar Pradesh, in North India.
At one time, they form one of the largest Pashtun diaspora community in India, and give their name to the Rohilkhand region.
Most members of the Rohilla community migrate to Pakistan after independence and settle in Karachi, Sindh, where they are now part of the country's Muhajir community.
Almost all of the Rohilla Pashtuns are registered as Urdu speakers in Pakistan.
