The Principality of Nitra is the name for a polity of Nitra Sloviens, centered on large agglomeration, a multi-tribal center around Nitra, Slovakia.

The initially independent[ Principality of Nitra comes into existence in the early 9th century.

This state is annexed by Mojmir I and the merger of the Principality of Nitra and the Moravian state creates Great Moravia.

It may have been a nascent state that merged into Great Moravia in the 830s and lost its separate existence around 900.
