The Great Company is a group of mercenaries, chiefly of German origin but operating in the Italian peninsula, who flourish in the mid-fourteenth century.

At its height, the company numbers approximately ten thousand to twelve thousand men, chiefly armored cavalry.

The Great Company's power sets the pattern for later condottieri who come to dominate Renaissance Italian warfare.
