Caucasian Iberians
Years: 333BCE - 532
Caucasian Iberians is a Greco-Roman designation for ancient Georgians, Ibero-Caucasian people (South Caucasian or Kartvelians) who inhabit the east and southeast of the Transcaucasus region in prehistoric and historic times.
Ancient Iberians are identified as modern eastern Georgians who have originated from the early Georgian state of Iberia-Kartli.
Caucasian Iberians should not be confused with the ancient inhabitants of the Roman Hispania, the Iberians of the Iberian Peninsula, or today's Spanish and Portuguese who are also referred to as Iberians.
