…Trogir.

His followers also collect a large ransom.

He, however, is not liberated, and probably dies soon after.

Peter Kresimir IV had at the beginning of 1075 named the ban of Slavonia, Demetrius Zvonimir, "by the mercy of God Duke of Dalmatian Croatia".

This title makes him not only the ruler of northern Dalmatia, but also the chief advisor of the king and his heir.

About the middle of 1075, Zvonimir regains the allegiance of the coastal cities of Dalmatia that had been lost to the Normans.

Over the next two years, however, the Republic of Venice will banish the Normans and secure the cities for themselves.
