Years: 91BCE - 91BCE

The rebellious allies show their intentions of not just separating from Rome, but also forming an independent nation, called Italia, and forming a capital at Corfinium (in modern-day Abruzzo) that is renamed Italica.

To pay for the troops, they create their own coinage that is used as propaganda against Rome.

These coins depict eight warriors taking an oath, probably representing the Marsi, Picentines, Paeligni, Marrucini, Vestini, Frentani, Samnites and Hirpini.

Their soldiers are battle-hardened, most of them having served in the Roman armies.

The twelve allies of Italia are originally able to field one hundred thousand men.
