Máté Csák lays siege to Charles' capital, Buda, in the summer of 1311, but Charles forces back his attack.
Shortly afterwards, the citizens of Košice murder Amade Aba, who had been one of Charles' main partisans, but Charles takes the side of the citizens against Amade Aba's sons; consequently, the latter ally themselves with Máté Csák.
