Years: 1409 - 1409
English forces under Prince Henry have gradually captured the strongholds of rebellious Welsh prince Owain Glyndŵr, in September 1408 retaking Aberystwyth and finally, on January 1, 1409, Harlech Castle.
His son-in-law Edmund Mortimer dies in the final battle and Owain’s wife Margaret along with two of his daughters (including Catrin, Mortimer’s wife) and three of Mortimer's granddaughters are taken prisoner and incarcerated in the Tower of London, where before 1415 they all will die.
