The Mongols are ready to move again …
Years: 1108 - 1251
The Mongols are ready to move again late in 1241.
In December the army crosses the frozen Danube.
Scouting parties raid into northern Italy toward Venice and Treviso, and up the Danube toward Vienna, but the advance halts suddenly.
Word has come, by way of the incredibly swift Mongol messenger service, that Ogedei had died on December 11.
